UC Santa Barbara Summer Research Opportunities
For students in the 9th-11th grade. UC Santa Barbara allows students to choose from six exciting programs which are designed for different kinds of students: the Early Start Program (ESP), Academic & Enrichment Program (1+1), Enrichment Program, Research Mentorship Program (RMP)Science & Engineering Research Academy (SERA) and the Local High School Student Program. These programs give high school students the unique opportunity to take regular UC Santa Barbara courses. Over 100 courses to choose from in 40 academic departments.

USC Architecture Summer Programs

The USC Summer Programs invites high school students to connect with the world of architecture.  EXPLORATION OF ARCHITECTURE  provides a wide-range of exposure to an architectural education and the vibrant surroundings of Los Angeles through an exciting two or four weeks at the USC School of Architecture.  You will be designing and building in a collaborative studio environment, touring famous landmarks, living on-campus in a residence hall, and working with the School’s distinguished faculty and upper division students. The four-week program offers 3-units of college credit.

For high school students, this is an exciting two-week introduction to the business world.

Navy Internship & Scholarship Opportunities
(SMART) Scholarship for Service Program is an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to receive a full scholarship and be gainfully employed upon degree completion.

Department of Defense Internships
DoD STEM internships allow high school and college students the opportunity to engage in hands-on research, solving real-world problems at DoD laboratories and facilities.

UCI Cancer Research Institute Youth Science Fellow Program
Summer Internship (6 weeks) and work with faculty and graduate students. Must be a high school junior or senior and completed at minimum one high school chemistry/science lab class and one biology class prior to beginning of the Youth Fellow Program.
